Two quick ways to check your phone

  • Dial *#06# — if an EID appears on the screen, your device supports eSIM.
  • Check Settings for "Add mobile plan" or "Add eSIM" — if the option is there, you're good.

Your device must also be network-unlocked. Locked handsets from a carrier won't accept a third-party eSIM.

iPhones with eSIM

Your device must also be carrier-unlocked to use eSIM. On iPhone 13 and 14 models you can have two eSIMs active at the same time.

  • iPhone 14 and 15 series sold in the USA don't take a physical SIM.
  • iPhones from mainland China and Hong Kong/Macao (except iPhone 13 mini, 12 mini, SE 2020, XS) don't support eSIM.
